The RN Certification Analyst serves as an expert nursing resource for ensuring all candidates for ANCC board certification meet accreditation requirements for initial eligibility and renewal. Assessment of eligibility includes but is not limited to analyzing information submitted via the initial application, reviewing all transcripts and validation of education, evaluating licensure, and evaluating program accreditation. The analyst conducts analysis of all materials to assess potential gaps requiring clarification and/or submission of additional documentation. The analyst communicates with applicants to ensure all materials submitted meet accreditation requirements.The analyst also provides counseling to nurses regarding meeting eligibility requirements, renewal requirements, and review of exam results when candidates have questions. The analyst audits documents submitted to demonstrate compliance with renewal requirements have been met.The analyst collaborates with Certification Associates to gather required documents and to request additional documents as needed from applicants. - Primarily responsible for analyzing individual certification and recertification applications to ensure current eligibility requirements are met. This includes detailed review and analysis of supporting documentation, such as transcripts and validation of education forms, and verification of registered nurse licenses. Refers complex issues to the Senior Certification Analyst, as necessary.
- Communicates with applicants to clarify items submitted for certification and recertification when requirements are not met. Provides individual counseling to nurses regarding meeting eligibility requirements for initial certification, requirements for recertification, and for those who did not pass the certification examination. Assesses whether documents/evidence submitted for renewal meet compliance requirements for accreditation.
- Represents ANCC at exhibits and conferences, upon request.
What You Bring To The American Nurses EnterpriseEducation
- Current Registered Nurse License, required. Baccalaureate in Nursing, or equivalent work experience, required.
Related Work Experience
- 4 years nursing experience
- Registered nurse work experience (clinical or education)
- Experience working with databases, including data entry
- Prior experience in conducting quality audits or credentialing desired
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail
- Critical thinking/analytic skills
- Skills in crisis management and/or de-escalating issues helpful
- Competent user of Microsoft Office products
