Job Overview – LPN (IDD Care) – Night Shift:

Compensation: $35 – $38/hour

Location: Morris County, NJ

Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday, 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM

Join our client as an LPN (IDD Care) – Night Shift in Morris County, NJ, providing overnight care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this night shift role, you will monitor health and safety, support independence and daily living, administer medications, coordinate appointments, and maintain documentation in a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities as the LPN (IDD Care):

  • Direct Care & Daily Living Support: Provide nursing care to individuals with IDD, assist with personal care, hygiene, and daily activities.
  • Medication & Treatment Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor for side effects, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Medical Coordination: Accompany individuals to medical appointments and communicate health needs to providers.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Complete required records including MARs, progress notes, and incident reports while ensuring adherence to care plans.
  • Health, Safety & Training: Maintain a safe environment, support prescribed diets and programs, and assist in training staff on medical procedures.

Qualifications for the LPN (IDD Care):

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
  • Licensure: Active, unencumbered LPN license in the State of New Jersey required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience with individuals with IDD or in a residential or nursing home setting.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy with experience in the Therap documentation system preferred.
  • Additional Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to meet patient care needs.
  • Skills & Attributes: Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to respond appropriately to individual needs while working independently on an overnight schedule.
