Wireless CCTV, LLC (“WCCTV”) located in Richardson, Texas, is a subsidiary of Wireless CCTV Ltd originally established and located in the UK. WCCTV is the market leader for rapid deployment, mobile surveillance systems specifically designed to deliver video securely and efficiently via 4G LTE networks. (

We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control and Purchasing Manager to lead the activities of the purchasing, logistics and lifecycle inventory control (including allocation and documentation of assignment) functions for the US Operations department and at other regional Hub locations.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Collaborates with Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics departments to maximize efficiency in the purchasing and inventory control department.
  • Establishes departmental KPIs and educates team members on definitions and utilization. Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Drives a 5S mentality throughout the organization with a focus on health & safety.
  • Purchases all required supplies, materials and parts for WCCTV's Production function.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, prices, buying and delivery conditions to anticipate opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Analyze future material availability against predicted demand and directs purchasing programs accordingly.
  • Negotiates and completes contracts with vendors for optimal cost and delivery times.
  • Updates and manages appropriate product master data elements including for new product rollout and carryover products.
  • Supports New Product Development (NPD) activity with supplier selection and price negotiation.
  • Responsible for onboarding new suppliers.
  • Reviews purchase orders and contracts for compliance with Company and departmental policies.
  • Communicates with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
  • Responsible for logistic provider selection and management. Works with selected carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely pickup and delivery of product to and from customers.
  • Monitors market pricing for all modes of transportation and rate shop where appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains inventory databases for supplies and materials used.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory control with a goal to maximize efficiency and optimize workflow.
  • Transfers inventory stock within and between WCCTV locations.
  • Develops a weekly cycle count process and drives root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce discrepancies.
  • Supervises personnel responsible for the shipping of product and receiving of incoming stock; ensures product is verified and receipt documented.
  • Performs inbound quality checks where required.
  • Ensures data consistency by taking ownership and being proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Addresses department concerns in reference to product allocation, stock, and invoicing.
  • Establishes tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace to include stocking and delivery of supplies and maintaining clean warehouse and storage areas. Ensures all safety procedures are followed by staff at all times.
  • Responsible for hiring, termination, disciplinary actions and performance evaluations of all direct reports.
  • Trains new employees on Company standards and procedures, from how to schedule pickup and delivery, to proper allocation and storage of Company owned product.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business or related discipline or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of inventory, purchasing and logistics management experience, preferably in an electronics manufacturing or related industry required. Two to three years of prior supervisory/management experience required.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to other regional Hub locations.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiations required.
  • Proven ability to effectively negotiate and procure items in a timely manner.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management/control and production planning procedures and best practices.
  • Experience with logistics management covering small parcel, LTL, FTL and International freight.
  • Experience with CBP processes and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ERP/MRP systems, including inventory management and report writing. WMS experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques (Kanban, 5S, etc.) required.
  • Strong math aptitude, analytical skills and high attention to details required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required. Ability to relate and build rapport with internal staff required.
  • Strong time management, negotiation, organization and problem-solving skills required. Ability to work independently with shifting priorities is a must.
  • Ability to multi-task, demonstrated initiative and focus on delivering high quality results leading to improvements in current business operations.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds on a regular basis. Other physical requirements include seeing, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, walking, fine hand dexterity, climbing ladders and able to lift above shoulder height within a warehouse environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual base pay up to $90,000 DOE with a 10% bonus opportunity.
  • Company provided medical, dental, vision and life insurance along with 401(k) Plan with Company match of up to 4% with immediate vesting.
  • 10 days of vacation/paid time off (increases with length of service) along with 7 paid Company holidays.
  • Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm onsite at the Company's headquarters in Richardson, TX.
