Position: Associate Purchasing Analyst

Location: Bass Creek, MN — Local candidates only

Work Style: Hybrid (Onsite for training: first 2-4 weeks, then 2-3 days onsite)

Start Date: 9/1/2025

Contract Length: 6 months (Potential to extend)

Pay Rate: $26–28/hour

About the Opportunity:

A leader in powersports and outdoor adventure is seeking an Associate Purchasing Analyst to join their supply chain team at the Bass Creek location! You'll help manage supplier relationships, ensure timely delivery of Parts, Garments & Accessories (PG&A), and collaborate cross-functionally to meet inventory and customer demand goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive performance and recover backorders.

Review system-generated purchase recommendations and adjust with demand planning input.

Approve purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and take action on expedite, defer, or cancel notices.

Ensure supplier system data is accurate (costs, MOQs, lead times).

Negotiate costs, order quantities, and lead times to optimize Polaris' supply chain efficiency.

Work cross-functionally with teams to meet fulfillment, inventory, and customer service goals.

Communicate urgent issues to supervisors and assist with special projects.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized; able to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Solid problem-solving abilities.
  • Supply Chain or Purchasing education or professional experience.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting).
  • At least 1 year of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or logistics.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Experience with supplier relationship management and MRP systems.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
