ROMTech is seeking a motivated and detail-orientedHR Coordinatorto join our team. This is an entry-level role well-suited to individuals with a foundational knowledge of human resources, including those who have recently completed relevant education or training. The HR Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support across several core HR functions, including onboarding, payroll, benefits, recruiting coordination, and compliance.
Youll collaborate closely with all members of the People Operations team. This is a hands-on role focused on process execution and support, with exposure to the full employee lifecycle.This is a fulltime position based onsite, Monday-Friday at our Clearwater, FL corporate office.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including employment paperwork, background and reference checks, and system access setup.
- Track and review employee timecards, monitor PTO usage, and assist in payroll-related processes.
- Support unemployment claim responses and help manage tax communications and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records for employee benefits, leave tracking, and billing reconciliation.
- Assist with job postings, candidate communication, reference checks, candidate screening, and interview scheduling during the recruiting process.
- Prepare and submit government reports such as EEO-1 and other routine compliance filings.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates to employee data in HR systems and files
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including document management, calendar coordination, and project assistance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
These skills and abilities are essential for successful performance in this role:
- 03 years of professional experience in human resources or a related administrative support role.
- Internship or part-time experience in HR, recruiting, payroll, or office administration is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage administrative tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience handling sensitive information in a professional or academic setting preferred.
- Exposure to HR systems, timekeeping software, or data entry tools is helpful but not required.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and document handling.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines consistently.
- Foundational understanding of HR functions such as onboarding, timekeeping, and compliance.
Preferred Experience:
The following skills and abilities are not required but may enhance a candidates ability to succeed in this role:
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, or applicant tracking systems.
- Prior experience with government reporting such as EEO-1 or unemployment documentation.
- Knowledge of basic employment law or HR compliance concepts.
- Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-location environment.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to operational efficiency.
