Overview:

We are representing a prestigious private equity firm with a strong track record in real estate and alternative investments, seeking to hire a Head of Financial Reporting to oversee key accounting functions across the management company, partnership accounting, and fund coordination. Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), this high-impact role provides strategic exposure at the intersection of investments, operations, and financial reporting. The firm is entering a period of expansion, presenting significant growth opportunities for leadership within the finance team.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of private equity accounting, experience in high-growth environments, and the ability to collaborate across multiple business lines. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role at a leading investment firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the consolidation of financial data from various departments and subsidiaries.
• Develop and implement financial reporting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Work with VP of GP reporting in structuring deliverables and managing staff – Accounting, Tax, Audit.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and variances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and consultants.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with operation consolidation reporting mechanics involving multiple entities.
• Proficient in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
• Experience in Real Estate Asset Management is preferred.
