General Summary:
Under direct supervision of the sales manager, primarily responsible for handling inside sales activities such as, support sales engineer, gather information, field calls, and cooperating with sales engineers with all sales related tasks.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Serve as a key technical advisor and product expert during the sales process for HVAC systems.
· Collaborate with the sales team to identify client needs and translate project specifications into recommended product solutions.
· Use selection software and technical tools to propose optimal HVAC products based on customer requirements and site conditions.
· Prepare and deliver detailed technical proposals, submittals, and performance documentation in support of sales efforts.
· Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to consultants, contractors, and customers.
· Provide pre-sale and limited post-sale technical support, including product clarification, application guidance, and troubleshooting.
· Partner with engineering and product development teams to offer custom solutions where standard products do not meet project demands.
· Assist in pricing, quoting, and proposal generation by ensuring accurate and competitive configurations.
· Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, proposals submitted, and feedback received.
· Stay current with industry trends, codes, competitor products, and advancements in HVAC technology.
Requirements:Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:
Education Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field.
· 3–5 years of experience in HVAC product application, sales support, or technical sales.
· Knowledge of ASHRAE, AHRI, and other relevant standards and codes is preferred.
· Experience in HVAC manufacturing or working closely with sales/distribution channels is a plus.
