EY has a robust life sciences commercial practice, helping clients with strategic growth, business transformation, and commercial excellence. This senior role within our Consulting practice will have the opportunity to lead large engagements, build solutions, lead teams, and innovate in the market. Our practice works with large pharma, biotechnology, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries. You will be an integral member of our life sciences consulting team and spend most of your time focused on providing client services in the following areas: business transformation, commercial operations, commercial data and analytics, commercial strategy, market access, growth strategy, operating model optimization, technology implementation, and enterprise transformation.
Much of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain.
Skills and Attributes for SuccessDeep knowledge in targeted disease areas including oncology, immunology, neurology and cell and gene therapies
Strong commercial strategy skills with exposure to commercial analytics and market access
Prior experience working in a strategy or boutique consulting company and managing a team of at least 3 reports
Experience in running primary research interviews and quantitative surveys in the life science
Experience with market access and knowledge of US market access dynamics including IRA, Medicare, Medicaid would be appreciated
Effectively support client engagement teams
Leading key workstreams as part of large-scale client engagements and consistently delivering high quality deliverables
Helping Manager and Senior Managers manage risk and helping ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business
Helping foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by playing an active role in counselling and mentoring staff consultants within the organization
Starting to develop long-term client relationships and networks
Developing relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs
Remaining current on new developments in the life sciences advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge
To Qualify for the Role You Must HaveBachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology
3+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience providing advisory services in these industries, focused in at least one of the following areas:
Familiarity with pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. pricing databases, prescription and claims databases, etc.)
Experience with commercial operations and analytics
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
A willingness to travel to meet client needs
Advisory/consulting experience within life sciences is preferred

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $97,300 to $178,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $116,700 to $202,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
