ShelterCare Medical Recuperation is seeking a compassionate Community Support Specialist to work in their Medical Respite (SMR) program in Eugene, OR. This position works directly with individuals experiencing homelessness and have recently been discharged from the hospital after an acute medical episode, yet still require limited care. During their 30-day, post-hospital recuperation, individuals can focus on their health needs while our Community Support Specialist helps them create sustainable connections to community resources and medical providers.
The Community Support Specialist is a non-exempt hourly position. The starting wage for this position is $20.13 to $20.48 per hour; depending on a number of factors. This position is considered essential and will be required to work holidays as scheduled. If it's a ShelterCare paid holiday, you will receive holiday pay plus pay for your time worked. The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday.
