Your Role:
As a Glass Polisher, you will operate a flat polishing and glass edging machine while executing preventative maintenance. If you have over 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience, especially in the glass industry, we want you on our team!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a single-side straight-line glass-edging machine.
- Load and manage glass or mirrors on the conveyor system.
- Ensure fabrication meets customer specifications and verify dimensions based on work orders.
- Carefully move glass from the machine and clean edges to remove polishing compound.
- Utilize an overhead crane for handling glass safely.
- Follow work instructions and maintain all safety protocols.
- Document production and quality logs accurately.
- Assist in material transport to enhance the production workflow.
- Use measuring tools to ensure product specifications are met.
- Perform daily inspections of the workspace and equipment.
Your Skills:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment; glass industry experience is a plus.
- Heavy Lifting: Able to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Capable of teamwork to push weights exceeding 150 lbs.
- Proficient in reading tape measures.
- Ability to follow directions from supervisors and work as part of a team.
- Adaptable to varied temperature conditions in a non-climate-controlled setting.
- Experience with hoists and cranes is advantageous.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this role.
