The Production Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of friction manufacturing equipment. A Production Technician includes the following areas: compound, cure press, bagger, preform, high volume finish line, inspector, press unloader, and other assigned positions. Responsibilities: Maintain a safe work environment and always follow all safety rules, using all PPE as required daily; maintains proactive attention to safety, including keeping work area clean and healthy. Always inspects all equipment prior to use and reports any discrepancies immediately. Inspects product for quality; if unacceptable, investigates cause, takes corrective action, and notifies leadership. Accurately records all scrap data. Demonstrates proper machine operation per standard work requirements. Follows all work instructions, both written and verbal, along with directions from team leaders/supervisors/managers to produce quality product.
