Human Resources Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Houston, Texas. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, and administrative support. The role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently handle a variety of HR tasks while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage employee onboarding processes, including I-9 verification and background checks.
- Provide administrative support by organizing mail, maintaining HR records, and assisting with general office tasks.
- Assist with employee relations by addressing inquiries and supporting HR-related concerns.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, including adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Utilize HR systems such as UKG Pro and ADP to manage employee data and payroll processes.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline HR workflows and improve efficiency.
- Schedule and participate in virtual and in-person interviews, ensuring a smooth hiring experience.
- Monitor and respond to HR-related communications promptly and professionally.
- Stay past regular hours as needed to complete critical tasks and support the team.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive employee information.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in HR administration or a related field.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems such as UKG Pro and ADP.
- Strong understanding of onboarding procedures, including I-9 compliance.
- Familiarity with processes related to employee relations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of HR policies and regulatory standards.
- Flexibility to work beyond regular business hours when necessary.
