The Family Services Specialist assists the Program Administrators and unit supervisors by providing analytical review and analysis of program activities and performs a variety of tasks with the Child Protective Investigations team. The FSS conducts investigatory quality reviews and participates in special projects as needed. Provides consultation and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-related or process-related topics. Collects data and identifies trends and developments in Child Protective Investigations activities, including identifying necessary improvements and adjustments to ensure program effectiveness. Develops monitoring tools. Conducts research and collects information to identify nationwide improvements in Child Protective Services. Conducts second-party reviews as mandated or as assigned by supervisor. Assists in monitoring caseloads and develops tracking systems as necessary. Develops and prepares program manuals, policies, procedures, standards and rules. Facilitates in-service trainings for frontline staff and supervisors related to various subject matters. Develops methods to implement and administer policies, procedures and program activities including in-service training and materials.
