Job SummaryThe University of Kentucky Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (UKVDL) develops and applies state-of-the-art diagnostic methodology to improve animal health and marketability, to protect the public health and to assist in the preservation of the human-animal bond through the principles ofOne Health. For additional information on the UKVDL, please click here.This position is a vital member of the team serving as a Diagnostic Technician in the Bacteriology Section, whose duties include isolating, identifying and determining antimicrobial susceptibilities of bacteria and fungi that cause diseases in animals as well as media preparation, inventory checking and procurement, assistance with maintaining the QA/QC program and writing reports.This position is located at the Coldstream Research Campus off Newtown Pike (great location and free parking).As a part of the University of Kentucky, we also offer exceptional benefits.
