The mission of the Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC) is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior. The DOC Northpoint Training Center Fiscal Office performs accounts payable and procurement services for the entire institution. Northpoint Training Center is looking for a Purchasing Officer to procure standard operational items and perform accounts payable duties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Creates payment documents for goods, services, utilities, etc. Researches and creates requisitions for goods and non-professional services when the expenditures amount exceeds the agencys small purchase authority.
