Marathon Petroleum Company (MPC) is currently accepting applications for a shore-based Marine Tankerman. This position will be based out of the Mt. Vernon, IN area and will report to the Marine Tankering Services Supervisor. Tankerman are critical members of the Tankering Services Group, and we are looking for individuals who can contribute to our inclusive work environment. Tankerman are responsible for safely and efficiently transferring various types of barges, troubleshooting barges, performing minor maintenance of barges and training other Tankerman to do so in accordance with all Company procedures/standards and United States Coast Guard (USCG) regulations. Tankerman will work in the field on barges, vessels, fleets, and terminals. Tankerman must be able to work in all weather conditions, both day and night, as the job assignment requires.
