OB/GYN Hospitalist

Were currently seeking an OB/GYN Hospitalisttojoin our amazing team.
Key Details:
- Coverage: 1099 (Locums) OB-GYN Hospitalist
- Shifts: 12 shifts per week; flexible 12- or 24-hour shifts (ongoing need)
- Pay Rate: Competitive; based on experience (within budget)
- Type: 1099 only local candidates only which will include the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island are all considered local.
Position Requirements:
- Must be Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Prior Hospitalist experience required
- No midwives or residents involved in deliveries
- Locals onlyno travel/lodging included
- Malpractice history:
- Must be more than 10 years ago OR
- Less than $50,000 paid must submit NPDB if any history exists
Clinical Environment:
- Team-based coverage not solo
- Backup available: Onsite or via call
- EMR System: Epic
- Anesthesia: 24/7 coverage
- No circumcisions required
- VBACs allowed, but only if:
- The physician is extremely experienced and
- The hospital approves prior to hire
- Note: VBAC experience is not required
Patient Volume & Support:
- Average deliveries: ~500 per year (~1.36/day)
- C-section rate: 30% of all deliveries
- Emergency C-sections: Within that 30%
- High-Risk OB: Typically transferred, but if delivered onsite, a 24/7 pediatric hospitalist is available
- APP/Support: No APP team MAs only
