Director Of Elections

The American Arbitration Association (AAA) seeks a strategic and experienced Director of Elections to oversee all regional operations related to election administration. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Elections, this role is accountable for achieving key business goals while ensuring that all election-related activities adhere to AAA policy, the U.S. Department of Labor regulations, and industry standards.

Key responsibilities include supervising elections, managing staff and temporary workers, developing and negotiating contracts, and analyzing performance data. The Director will also be responsible for quality assurance, vendor coordination, fiscal oversight, and growing AAA's election services portfolio through strategic outreach and business development.

Work Environment: This position offers a hybrid work arrangement (50% on-site); candidates must reside at a U.S. location within 125 miles of their assigned office location. This role is based out of the AAA's headquarters located in Downtown Manhattan.

Compensation: New York, NY: $113,000 $120,000. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based incentive. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, political science, or a related field
  • 46 years of experience in a client-centric legal or corporate environment, election administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Deep understanding of election operations and U.S. Department of Labor regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel regionally and domestically 15%%
