The Bridge Program is a two-year, non-degree certificate program at the University of Mount Saint Vincent. It offers an immersive college experience for young adults with developmental disabilities between the ages of 1824. Students in the Bridge Program develop and strengthen their skills in the following core areas: Education, Career Exploration, Executive Functioning, Independent Living, Self-Advocacy, Socialization.
Job DescriptionThe Associate Director of BRIDGE Academic and Student Support is a full-time, 12-month position that supports Bridge students across all areas of their academic and personal development. This position oversees and evaluates the academic staff, works closely with university faculty, and ensures that students are effectively integrated into University of Mount Saint Vincent (UMSV) courses; in addition to assisting in managing the BRIDGE program.
Master's degree in special education, Disability Studies, or related field. Minimum of 5 year's experience working with and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Experience with developing curricula and implementing behavioral interventions. Experience managing a classroom and implementing positive teaching strategies. Experience collaborating with internal and external partners. Experience in education-based settings, ideally postsecondary. Valid driver's license. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
