Perform entry-level clerical and office support work, including processing transactions and maintaining records, in a variety of organizational settings, to meet the requirements of agency programs. Examples of your duties may include: keeping records; retrieving and compiling information; performing basic arithmetic calculations; mail, supply, and inventory functions; some keyboarding and other document preparation tasks; answering telephones; completing forms; answering questions or otherwise assisting customers; or creating or assisting in the preparation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables.

Applicants may be appointed to this position if currently reachable on the appropriate list for this title or are a current NYS employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to grade 6 or above and eligible for transfer under section 70.0 of the Civil Service Law.
