The ESA V program within Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a skilled Laboratory Application Support Specialist to join our team supporting the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). In this vital role, you will contribute to advancing forensic investigations by providing essential IT services and technical support. Your expertise will help ensure effective management and usage of laboratory software, particularly STARLIMS.

What You'll Do:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of ATF's processes for forensic investigations.
  • Assist forensic examiners in utilizing laboratory software and adhering to electronic chain of custody protocols.
  • Support users with access and training issues, ensuring they are equipped to utilize the laboratory software effectively.
  • Develop clear user guides to instruct staff on the proper usage of the laboratory software.
  • Facilitate and support manufacturer updates to the laboratory software to keep the system current and functional.
  • Generate insightful reports for management to aid decision-making.

Qualifications You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Familiarity with laboratory case management software, preferably STARLIMS, and chain of custody best practices.
  • Experience in laboratory work and adherence to industry best practices.
  • 3-5 years of software administration experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience with identity/account management.
  • 1-2 years of SQL experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice-forensics or laboratory science.
  • Previous experience working with federal law enforcement customers.
  • Experience with cloud-based systems, particularly in AWS.

Candidates selected will be subject to a Government Public Trust security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to the customer's information. While current clearance is not required, the selected individual will not commence the assignment until the necessary security clearance is granted by the customer, which is expected to take approximately 12+ weeks.

Pay Range: $85,150.00 - $153,925.00, based on relevant skills and experience.
