Locally owned, family-oriented wood products company is seeking a candidate for an Offbearer/Machine Feeder/General Labor position. Requirements: At least 18 years of age. Pass drug test and background check. Accurately read a tape measure. Experience working as a team member in a fast paced environment.
Job Duties: Observe safety as a first priority. Keep hands and body clear of all operating equipment and pinch hazards. Operate equipment proficiently to include the use of transfer chains, extension arms, breakdown unit hoist. Stack lumber into units for further packaging. Feeds and offbears lumber into rippers and moulders. Ensure a continuous flow of lumber into and out of the equipment. Pulls and replaces misgraded or mismanufactured lumber as needed. Operator straightens lumber on the landing table and maintains an even flow into the moulder. May record data such as thickness, grade, length, and quantity of lumber stacked. Keep work area clean using air hose, broom. Clean work area before leaving shift. Report all needed equipment repairs to supervisor or maintenance. Help the stacker/operator clear jammed boards as safely and quickly as possible. Additional duties as assigned.
Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Closing Date: Open until filled
