Role: Culinary Team Member

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and recipes.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation align with HCSG standards.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols; maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
  • Capable of following recipes and accommodating dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Should be able to work safely around food and cleaning materials.
  • Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required as per State/County law.
  • Must reside within the service area.
