Job Description The precision optics manufacturing industry Program Manager will:
- Oversee day-to-day activities across the full program lifecycle to ensure steady progress.
- Guide cross-functional teams-including engineering, manufacturing, and quality-to ensure seamless project execution.
- Establish program goals, define scope, and implement governance structures to track milestones and manage change control.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, monitoring progress against plans.
- Identify program risks early and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Manage multiple interrelated projects, including subcontractor oversight, contract management, and deliverable tracking.
- Maintain key program documentation, including project charters, requirements, design reviews, and readiness assessments.
- Collaborate with quality teams to address technical or quality-related issues promptly.
- Serve as the main point of contact between customers, internal teams, and senior leadership.
- Provide regular updates on program status, risks, and deliverables to all stakeholders.
- Build strong customer relationships through consistent, transparent communication.

The Successful Applicant The precision optics manufacturing industry ideal candidate will:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Optical, Imaging Science, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (other disciplines considered).
- Have 5-10 years of project/program management experience, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Possess a strong technical background in optical or aerospace engineering, with knowledge of engineering principles, aerospace program lifecycles, and industry standards.
- Demonstrate expertise in managing requirements, ensuring they are well-defined, documented, and met.
- Have experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Excel in organization, communication, time management, and customer service.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related project management software.
- Show an ability and willingness to learn new skills, disciplines, and processes.
