Job Description: Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Location: Utica, NY 13502 Shift Schedule: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Pay Range: $60/hr - $70 per hour on a W2 Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult medical/surgical patients. Monitor patient conditions, recognize and report changes promptly, and intervene appropriately. Administer medications, IVs, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols. Care for patients recovering from surgery with diagnoses such as abdominal pain, fractures, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, and bariatric procedures. Operate and manage specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes. Accurately document all patient care, changes, and interventions in the EPIC EMR system. Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and evaluate individualized care plans. Float to other units as required based on staffing needs. Uphold infection control standards and promote patient safety at all times. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families throughout the recovery process. Skills/Experience Needed: Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience - Required Prior travel nursing experience - Preferred Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and documentation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and float between units Experience with EPIC EMR - Required Reliable, team-oriented, and adaptable to changing patient care needs Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program - Required Certifications: Active and unrestricted New York RN license (Verified via NURSYS) - Required Basic Life Support (BLS - American Heart Association) - Required COVID-19 Vaccination as per facility policy - Required
