Part-Time Nanny/Family Assistant

TRAVERSE CITY, MI (OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES) Two warm, welcoming families seek a part-time nanny/family assistant to join their nanny share 25-30 hours per week. This position combines childcare and family support, with dedicated time for household duties one day/week to ensure focus without children present.

The nanny will primarily care for two boys (ages 3 and 7) two days per week, and a 2-year-old girl two days every other week, along with one day focused solely on household organization, laundry, and meal prep.

Schedule & Duties:

• Monday: 6 hours every other week at Residence 1 (care for 2-year-old girl + light household tasks during nap)
• Tuesday: 6 hours at the lakehouse (household organization, laundry, meal prep)
• Wednesday: 6 hours every other week at Residence 2 (care for 3- & 7-year-old boys + household tasks)
• Thursday: 6 hours at Residence 1 (care for 2-year-old girl + light tasks during nap)
• Friday: 6 hours at Residence 2 (care for 3- & 7-year-old boys + household tasks)

The children love to be active and outdoors, enjoying activities like cooking, hiking, art, and playing at the neighborhood park. The 7-year-old has a life-threatening allergy to pine nuts, tree nuts, sesame, chickpeas and dogs. The family seeks a nanny who can manage this allergy vigilantly and is willing to carry an EPI pen. Experience with allergies is a plus!

They seek a fun-loving, long-term nanny who is patient, kind, active, organized, and respectful. They are looking for someone who is a good role model. The family values healthy, organic eating and seeks a nanny who can encourage healthy habits in the home and be comfortable with cooking and meal prep.

Pay is $25-30/hour gross via payroll. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays, vacation and health insurance. Start date is flexible for the right fit!

Responsibilities:

Childcare, laundry, meal prep, household organization and other household tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
• THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
• A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
• 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
• EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES

• U.S. DRIVER'S LICENSE (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NYC RESIDENTS)
• MUST BE A COMPETENT SWIMMER (IF AND WHEN REQUIRED)
• NON-SMOKER

Hourly Rate:

Targeted Annual Gross Salary (Min): USD $25.00/Hr.
