The primary purpose of the PBX operator is to efficiently answer and route all incoming call to the switchboard in the shortest time. Must be able to deal with a high volume of calls, talk pleasantly with the public, monitor multiple alarm panels and page overhead. Page overhead for employees/page codes. Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
