Serves as an Air Traffic Manager of a terminal facility, and is responsible for planning and directing all activities at the facility. Responsibilities include directing a highly technical workforce, providing air traffic control services, reviewing work processes, training and coaching subordinates, setting and adjusting priorities, evaluating work performance, communicating EEO policies, supporting labor management partnership, and meeting with high-ranking managers and industry representatives. The Air Traffic Manager reports to a General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager.
Requirements include holding an FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year, being facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year at an ATS facility, or holding a MSS position for at least 1 year in an ATS facility. Additionally, the incumbent must have held an MSS-3 or MSS-4 or FAA 2152 FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year.
