This position is responsible for the technical onboarding process of new and novel ingredients to support their use in Perrigo Nutrition Infant formula across the network. These ingredients may encompass dairy or plant-based macro ingredients, fats, oils, vitamins, and minerals. This highly collaborative role manages the ingredient specification, R&D aspects of vendor qualification and management of change process for seamless integration at the factory level. The R&D Scientist will closely interface with vendors, product development, procurement, regulatory and quality teams to act as the key technical resource for development activities and ingredient related issues at the Nutrition factories. Major Duties / Responsibilities Drive supplier approval (vendor qualification) for new ingredients and/or suppliers from a technical perspective.
