Qualifications
Required Education:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
Required Experience:
- Six (6) months of sterile processing (or other relevant) experience or the successful completion of a qualified, nationally recognized, sterile processing course.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) credential from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD), or the Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) credential from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM), or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
Responsibilities
Your Role:
- Certified sterile processing technician.
- Responsible for, cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing reusable Operating Room (O.R.) medical devices.
- Trains and serves as a preceptor for Sterile Processing Technicians I, when needed.

- Manager/Sterile Processing, Supervisor/Sterile Processing, or Sterile Processing Educator.
