Manufacturing Manager
: Job Details :

• Oversees all aspects of the manufacturing facilities day to day operations, ensuring efficient production of goods by manufacturing staff, planning production schedules, maintaining quality standards, optimizing processes; responsible for coordinating activities to produce products on time and within budget while adhering to quality standards and safety regulations.

Main Duties

• Directs and coordinates the activities of the Production department, including production machines set-up, use, and maintenance, prepping, hand placement and soldering of components, and product packing and shipping
• Ensures that order shipping and order production schedules are met; reviews order shipping and order production schedules and quantities in order to plan production sequence and department operations; establishes priorities in production sequence by utilizing knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities, and human resources
• Reviews and analyzes labor requirements from the projected backlog planning to maintain an adequate work force in a dynamic environment
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production volume, quality and efficiency to evaluate overall performance
• Continuously analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to increase productivity, quality and cost savings
• Hire, train and supervise production personnel, including assigning tasks, evaluating performance and addressing employee concerns
• Reviews labor standards and monthly labor variances to ensure the company meets standard labor costs
• Maintains current knowledge of developments in the industry as related to machinery, methods and production aids that may enhance productivity

Skills

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
• Technical knowledge including understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and quality control methodologies; ability to read and understand technical specifications and drawings
• Problem solving skills to identify and resolve production issues promptly, including troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and addressing production delays
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal to successfully interact with production staff, other departments, upper management and customers
• Proficiency in English; proficiency in Chinese, Vietnamese, and/or Spanish a plus: must be able to effectively communicate directives to subordinates
• Ability to plan and organize production schedule based on capacity and workloads
• Working knowledge of concepts, tools, and processes of Surface Mount and Through-Hole technology to IPC workmanship standards
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and to perform basic queries and data entry in a ERP/MRP system
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and AS9100

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, business administration; work experience and other education may be considered in lieu of a degree
