Overview

The Director of Financial Aid is responsible for overseeing the administration and compliance of federal and state student financial assistance programs, as well as managing the financial aid staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Financial Aid Advisors and manage administrative processes for student financial assistance applications.
  • Manage data entry and maintenance in systems such as Campus Vue, Direct Loan, COD, and NSLDS.
  • Oversee need analysis, loan applications, and financial aid packaging.
  • Coordinate professional judgment and verification processes.
  • Maintain records, reports, and student files related to financial aid.
  • Manage data related to out-of-school borrower services in Campus Vue and NSLDS.
  • Train and develop subordinate staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations related to financial aid.
  • Report non-compliance, fraud, or abuse to senior management promptly.
  • Monitor student financial aid activities for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate disbursements and refunds with campus personnel and the Financial Aid Service Manager.
  • Manage electronic data entry and reconciliation for funding agencies.
  • Perform Return to Title IV calculations, refunds, and recalculations accurately and timely.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:
    • Associate's degree or higher.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Previous experience in financial aid required.
