A Brief OverviewThe Director of Logistics is responsible for warehousing, inventory, fleet vehicles, fleet maintenance and facility services (buildings and grounds).

What you will do• Establish and maintain relationships with distributors of material and services to ensure the availability as LREMC's needs arise. Coordinate daily warehousing functions to provide efficient service to the membership of the cooperative. Plan, coordinate, and supervise the operation of the warehousing function. Coordinate periodic and annual inventory of material and assists finance department in preparation for the annual audit. Direct and evaluate the performance of all warehouse personnel. Develop and establish procedures for warehouse personnel to ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations.• Responsible for the smooth and orderly flow of material from suppliers to LREMC construction crews and construction contractors. Maintain continuous inventory control over stock in storage in assigned warehouses to ensure an adequate supply for the construction and maintenance program. Prepare and check requisitions, contacting suppliers, and arranging delivery of all material as needed. Maintain adequate but not excessive inventory of materials and supplies.• Ensure proper development and maintenance of financial controls for expenditure and revenueaccounting and reporting records. Approve accounts payable and billings for fees charged to theCooperative.• Remain current with trends and developments in fields related to the focus of the Cooperative, including facilities and utilities management, fleet management, project management and financial applications that enhance the management of these and other cooperative operational activities.• Provide general administrative support for Cooperative fleet, assisting with asset records, and fuel programs. Assist with record keeping of fleet and equipment information, administer documentation kept in vehicles, purchasing and disposal of fleet, maintenance and service records, equipment possession hierarchy, vehicle permits, registrations, and other legal documents as needed. Manage the fuel card program, which includes timely issuance and inactivation of cards, reporting, and regular auditing.• Oversee, manage and direct the ongoing and preventive maintenance efforts of the buildings, grounds, equipment, and warehouses. Ensure that cost-effective and quality maintenance services are provided for the Cooperative's buildings and grounds to include negotiation and administration of service contracts to ensure best quality-service ratio.• Direct the vehicle and power equipment maintenance and repair activities for the Cooperative to effectively and efficiently ensure extended, reliable service and functionality of this equipment.• Responsible for budget preparation, proposals and recommendations in compliance with directions issued by the finance department, including analyzing past expenditures to determine needs. Establish and maintain budgetary controls. Comply with Cooperative purchasing procedures and implement within the department. Administer approved budgets, monitoring expenditures.

• Bachelor's Degree Business administration or related discipline Required or• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job• 8-10 years Working with the materials, equipment, and supplies used in utility construction andmaintenance Required• 1-3 years Supervisor/management responsibility Required• Possesses business and management skills involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources• Prior knowledge of facility (with advanced building systems) and fleet management within the electric utility industry preferred• Prior experience with purchasing and/or inventory control within the electric utility industry preferred• Results-driven planning and operations management with strong communications, problem solving and leadership skills• Ability to manage purchasing, warehouse and inventory control, fleet and facilities and have knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations and guidelines• Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of cooperative purchasing policies and procedures, as well as policies and RUS uniform system of accounts and materials and construction specifications• Possess strong negotiation skills• Valid Driver's License Required• Forklift Certification Preferred
