What you'll be doing...Join the Solution Design and Engineering (SD&E) team, where we create the networks that move the world forward. As a key member of our Public Sector group, you'll be at the forefront of designing cutting-edge wireless solutions that serve the critical missions of Federal, State, and Local government agencies. We are a team of passionate problem-solvers dedicated to our customers' success, and we're looking for someone who shares that commitment and understands the unique importance of serving those who serve our communities.What you'll be doing…As a Solutions Architect for the Public Sector with a focus on Mobility, you will be the technical cornerstone for our most essential government accounts. You will apply your deep technical expertise and polished client-facing skills to design and implement transformative mobility solutions that are not just innovative but also secure, reliable, and compliant. Your work will directly contribute to our clients' ability to execute their missions more effectively and will solidify Verizon's position as the premier technology partner for Public Sector communications. Your ultimate goal is to make complex technology feel simple, secure, and powerful for our clients, enabling them to focus on what they do best.Key Expectations & Goals:● Mastering Mobile Private Networks (MPN): You will become the go-to expertfor designing secure, reliable private networks that extend our clients' operations anywhere the Verizon network reaches, creating a seamless and protected extension of their own data center.This includes:○ Architecting end-to-end solutions using various connectivity options likeMPLS, dedicated circuits (FES), and IPSEC VPNs, and articulating thesecurity and performance trade-offs of each to guide client decisions.○ Designing advanced features, such as Dynamic Mobile Network Routing(DMNR/NEMO), which gives clients unprecedented command and controlover their remote assets, including a fleet of first-responder vehicles ormobile command centers.○ Leading the design of next-generation 5G MPN solutions, guidingcustomers on how to leverage the immense benefits of high-bandwidth,low-latency connectivity for applications like real-time video streaming,drone operations, and AR/VR training.○ Designing sophisticated data routing policies using Direct Internet Access(DIA 2.0) and IP-Filtering. This allows you to meet specific security andtraffic-flow requirements, such as isolating sensitive law enforcement datawhile still permitting general internet access for other applications on thesame device.○ Successfully guiding customers through the entire implementationlifecycle, acting as a collaborative partner from the initial pre-salesquestionnaire and VHAP work order submission to working with Operationteams to assist with the final turn-up call and Sales teams in coordinatingdevice activation.● Architecting Enterprise Messaging (EMAG) Solutions: You will design robust,scalable, and highly secure bulk messaging solutions for mission-criticalgovernment communications, from citizen-facing emergency alerts to internalemployee notifications.This involves:○ Guiding clients on the best API protocols (SMTP, HTTP/XML, etc.) fortheir specific application and IT environment, ensuring a smoothintegration with their existing systems.○ Designing solutions that leverage both on-net (Standard) and cross-carrier(Enhanced) plans, ensuring clients fully understand the implications andrequirements for sender code registration (e.g., Zipwhip verification) andstrict opt-in/opt-out compliance to maintain public trust.○ Demonstrating a deep understanding of the unique needs of Public Sectorand Public Safety customers, including leveraging qualified NAICS codesto apply for specialized, budget-friendly pricing and unlimited plans foressential services.○ Expertly navigating the technical details of implementation, such as IPwhitelisting, DKIM for secure cloud SMTP, and the pilot phone activationprocess, ensuring a flawless and secure rollout.● Driving Public Sector Success: You will build strong, trusted, long-termrelationships with our Federal and SLED customers by demonstrating technicalexcellence and a genuine commitment to their mission.○ You will lead in-depth technical discovery sessions to uncover not justtheir stated requirements, but their underlying operational goals andchallenges.○ You will present your proposed solutions with confidence and clarity,creating compelling narratives that demonstrate how Verizon's mobilityservices can directly help them achieve their mission objectives s safely andefficiently.○ You will travel to client sites for key presentations, workshops, andimplementation milestones, serving as the face of Verizon's technicalexpertiseYou'll need to have:

6+ years of experience in a technical, client-facing role, such as SolutionsArchitect, Sales Engineer, or Network Engineer, where you were the primarytechnical voice.● Experience supporting Public Sector customers (Federal, State, Local, Education) is highly desired.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• MA/MS degree in engineering or computer science.
• Proven experience with wireless technologies, including a strong, practical understanding of LTE and 5G network architecture and capabilities.
• Deep experience with enterprise networking concepts, including IP networking, dynamic routing protocols (BGP), VPNs, and modern network security principles.
• A natural ability to build rapport and be seen as a trusted technical advisor, especially in high-stakes environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
• Experience running multiple projects or deals under tight timelines.
• Security, architecture, and industry certifications such as AWS Solution Architect, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Design or Network Associate, ITIL Foundations, or similar.
• Experience implementing or designing two or more of the following: Data and IP Services Managed Operations; Security Services; Call Center Technologies and or IT Applications Management.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more.
