About the Role:
As Executive Director of Fresh Merchandising, you are the driving force behind our fresh food strategy, overseeing produce, meat, seafood, deli, bakery, floral, and prepared foods. This position blends strategic leadership with hands-on category management to deliver exceptional quality, innovation, and profitability across all fresh departments.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the strategy and execution for all fresh categories: produce, meat, seafood, deli, bakery, floral, and prepared foods.
- Partner with marketing to develop and deliver campaigns that drive traffic, inspire customers, and strengthen brand loyalty.
- Oversee assortment planning, pricing strategies, promotional programs, and vendor partnerships.
- Champion product innovation and sustainability initiatives that differentiate our offering in the market.
- Manage full P&L for fresh categories, balancing sales growth, margin improvement, and shrink control.
- Use data and market insights to guide category decisions, promotional planning, and customer experience enhancements.
- Mentor and develop high-performing merchandising teams, fostering collaboration and results.
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of progressive retail merchandising leadership, with fresh category expertise preferred.
- Proven success integrating merchandising and marketing strategies to deliver measurable growth.
