Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Estimator to join our team. This in-person position will support our estimating department by performing quantity take-offs, assisting with bid preparation, coordinating with subcontractors, and organizing project documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Full Proposal, Schedule of values, material & labor for all CSI codes.
- Prepare cover letter with inclusions and exclusions
- Perform quantity take-offs from architectural and construction drawings
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for a variety of projects
- Organize and manage bid documents and project files
- Solicit and track subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Communicate with project teams to ensure accurate bids
- Maintain bid schedules, deadlines, and submissions
- Support the development of pricing databases and estimating templates
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of construction-related experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with estimating or take-off software (Plan Swift, Bluebeam) a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Highly motivated and eager to learn
