Job Duties for Medical Records Clerk:Scan and import medical documents into patient electronic health records (EHR)Process medical records release requests in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage incoming and outgoing faxes, ensuring prompt and accurate distribution. Monitor and respond to incoming fax communications and import to patient charts accordingly. Collect documents throughout the office for scanning and digital filing. Answer and handle medical records-related phone calls from patients, providers, and external offices.
