The City of Riverside, Public Utilities Department (RPU) is accepting applications for the position of UTILITIES WATER FIELD HELPER to fill one vacancy in the Water Division. The eligibility list established may be used to fill the current and/or upcoming vacancies within this classification for up to six (6) months. Under supervision, A Utilities Water Field Helper is to perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in assisting journey level workers in the construction and maintenance of the water distribution systems. The incumbent to do related work as required. Work Performed Typical duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Work with and assist journey level workers in the cutting, fitting, laying, repairing, cleaning and flushing of water mains. Work with and assist journey level workers in the installation, maintenance and repair of services, valves and hydrants.
