Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Community Specialist at our Evening Learning Center in Flint, Michigan. At Rite Care, we provide after-school intervention to at-risk youth. Students report to the ELC to participate in evidence-based groups, skill building, tutoring, mentoring, case management, and other structured activities during high-risk times for anti-social behaviors. Rite Care operates as a diversion program for youth at risk of involvement in the Juvenile Justice System or those currently involved who need additional community support.

Pay: starting at $50k/year

What you will do: Community Specialists are members of the Rite Care Team responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing the Program. Leading groups, daily monitoring, contact, and supervision of youth are key responsibilities. This position reports to the Program Manager and Program Director.

To Be Considered You Should:

• Have a BA/BS in a related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Have 1 year of experience working with at-risk juveniles and their families or related experience.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 12 pm to 9 pm. Occasional weekends may be required for special events.
