Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator Supply is responsible for supporting the companys supply chain operations in coordination with various business functions, namely Production Material Control, Demand Planning, Warehouse, Import/Export, Transportation and Procurement to optimize inventory and asset utilization. This position will implement strategies to insure sufficient inventory for operations without overcapitalizing on stock, while minimizing out-of-stock and over-stock issues, and to maintain the companys production schedule.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Analyze intercompany stock transfers to determine where product will be stored upon arrival to US including but not limited to 3PL, Raw Material/Packaging warehouse, Finished goods warehouse.
  • Communicate with import team to coordinate movement of inbound import containers to 3PL, RM/PM warehouse, or finished goods warehouse.
  • Communicate with transportation and warehouse team about movement of material to and from 3PL.
  • Monitor a long-term production schedule/plan and demand plan to perform capacity planning for raw material/packaging material warehouse and finished goods warehouse.
  • Monitor monthly and weekly production plans to insure the supply of raw materials and packaging materials for Plants operations and to insure the supply of finished goods for warehouse.
  • Monitor movement of materials through purchasing, storage, and production in order to determine where inventory should be moved 3PL, Plants, RM/PM warehouse or finished goods warehouse.
  • Insure proper stock levels are maintained RM/PM warehouse, finished goods warehouse and 3PL locations.
  • Track inventory of raw materials and advise Procurement function on the necessary action for aging inventory or excess inventory.
  • Set preferred stock levels and prevent excess inventory based on demand plan.
  • Prepare inventory reports and present to the Production Material Control and Procurement functions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field is preferred. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Detailed knowledge of production planning, material planning, logistics and inventory management is required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must have data modeling and analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of SCOR, Process Excellence, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
  • APICS Certification (CSCP or CPIM) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is preferred and SAP experience is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail oriented, thorough, and organized.
  • Ability to write and present detailed inventory reports.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as ratios, increases, commissions, percentages, deductions, and adjustments, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ideal candidate must be able to apply mathematical concepts to perform data analysis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to perform daily job functions.
