Position Overview:

• Location:Dayton, OH (Main & South Campuses)

• Start Date:August 2025

• Schedule:Weekend coverage needed

• Pay Rate:$310/hour

• Trauma Designation:Level I Pediatric Trauma Center

• Total ED Beds:59

• Annual ED Volume:101,692

• Percent of Hospital Admissions from ED:81%

• Admissions from ED Daily:12%

• Fast Track:Yes staffed by both MDs and APPs (40% of ED volume)

• Supervision Required:Yes APPs and residents

• EMR:EPIC

• Admission Orders:Written by ED physicians/residents, transitioned to inpatient care by Admission Residents on Duty

• Support Services Available 24/7:Radiology, Lab, OR, Anesthesia, Surgical Teams

Clinical Environment:

• Wide range of pediatric subspecialist support including:

  • Radiology

  • Critical Care

  • Cardiology

  • Neurology

  • GI, Urology, Pulmonology, Psychiatry, Hematology/Oncology

• On-site NICU & Pediatric Transport covering 27 counties in Ohio

• Ground EMS + regional transport systems

• Collaborative communication center for referrals and transfers

• ED does not respond to house codes but is responsible for paramedic radio support

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligiblein Pediatric Emergency Medicine (ABPEM)Required

  • BE within 5 years of residency completion accepted

• PALS, ATLS, BLSRequired

• Active Ohio LicensePreferred, butopen to providers willing to obtain upon offer

• Clean filepreferred for streamlined credentialing (60-day estimated timeframe)
