About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Director to lead our transition into an independent non-profit and enhance our service capacity within the community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting a comprehensive vision and strategic plan, including the development of a long-range strategy and facilitating board recruitment and development.

Fundraising is a major component of this position, focusing on designing and executing a multi-year plan for philanthropic growth, grant acquisition, and nurturing relationships with local and state leaders. As the primary spokesperson for the organization, the Director will ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in fundraising activities.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant area, with a Master's degree preferred, and bring at least 3-5 years of senior-level experience in fundraising, strategic planning, and organizational development, ideally within a healthcare or non-profit context. A demonstrated history of effective supervisory management, collaboration with underrepresented communities, and successful interaction with a Board of Directors is essential.

The successful applicant will have a robust fundraising background, including expertise in direct solicitation and major gift campaigns, along with experience in financial oversight and budget management. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities are critical, as is the skill to thrive in a fast-paced environment and inspire staff to cultivate a high-performing team.
