Delivers patient centered care in a safe and healing environment that is timely, consistent and effective; resulting in the best possible outcomes. Primary Job Responsibilities: Delivers direct patient care with maximum comfort and anticipates patient needs to satisfy the needs of patients. Provides for patient safety through preventive measures. Administers treatments such as enemas, warm soaks, ice packs, simple dressing changes, pre-op skin preparation and post mortem care. Responds to patient/family requests (tells patient/family what to expect, when and why; informs patient/family when problems arise). Demonstrates attitudes and/or behaviors in interacting with others that are courteous, polite, concerned, friendly and respectful. In designated areas, rounds on patients every two hours. Observes and communicates pertinent information and changes/abnormal results or complaints in patient s condition to the RN.
