We are looking for a Chemical Operator to support our Specialty Chemical Operations in Rochester, NY. As a Chemical Operator, you will manage and maintain a product flow of various chemicals through the chemical processing equipment and maximize output, product quality and minimize waste. You are responsible for operating and controlling the process equipment. The equipment includes ABB distributed process control computers and PCs, distillation columns, extractors, steamers, cooling towers, decanters, tanks, pumps, lab equipment, transfer stations, emissions reduction systems and pipelines. The equipment and control systems are complex, high volume, and require a high level of operator interface and process understanding. The processes operate 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. The operations include high level safety priority, potential for solvent exposure and environmental hazards.
