Mortgage Staff Accountant United Community is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mortgage Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting of mortgage transactions, including daily journal entries, reconciliations, and support for regulatory filings. You'll play a key role in maintaining compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures while supporting broader financial operations. What You'll Do:Record daily journal entries for loan fundings and sales from the cash clearing account. Reconcile loan-level data from Encompass to the general ledger. Ensure accurate cash recording in the general ledger. Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly loan officer commissions and operational incentives. Record monthly fair value marks from Compass Analytics for interest rate locks, loans held for sale, and hedge instruments. Review and record Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) quarterly.
