We are seeking a full-time experiencedSystem Medical Director to oversee both Emergency Medicine and HospitalMedicine programs at our growing facility in Oakdale, California. Thisleadership position offers an exciting opportunity to shape clinicaloperations, mentor providers, and drive quality across two key service lines.
For ABIM or ABFM candidates,procedural experience and comfort managing patients in an open ICU setting isstrongly preferred, especially as an open ICU may be implemented in the nearfuture
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic andoperational oversight for both EM and HM services
- Lead provider recruitment,performance evaluation, and staff development
- Serve as a clinical rolemodel and mentor for EM and HM physicians and APPs
- Collaborate with hospitaladministration to drive quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction metrics
- Ensure regulatory andclinical compliance across both service lines
- Help prepare the clinicalteam for potential expansion of ICU services
- Maintain a clinical presencethrough scheduled shifts
Clinical Expectations andCompensation:
- Emergency Medicine Track(ABEM)
- Clinical Pay: $275 - $285/hour
- Clinical Shifts: 120hours/month preferred, but flexible
- Administrative Stipend:$100,000+ annually
- Hospital Medicine Track(ABIM or ABFM)
- Clinical Pay: $2,000/shift
- Clinical Shifts: 15shifts/month preferred, but flexible
- Administrative Stipend:$100,000+ annually
Requirements:
- MD or DO with activeCalifornia medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Board certified in EmergencyMedicine (ABEM), Internal Medicine (ABIM), or Family Medicine (ABFM)
- Minimum of 3 years ofpost-residency clinical experience
- Proven leadership experiencewithin a hospital-based setting
- Strong communication,collaboration, and organizational skills
- Open ICU or proceduralexperience preferred for IM/FM candidates
