Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Quality Assurance and Safety Evaluator, where you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our Quality Management System (QMS) and Occupational Safety and Health Program. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure compliance with customer standards and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives across our site.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Contribute to creating and maintaining an approved Quality Manual aligned with our contract Statement of Work (SOW) and QMS standards.
- Coordinate revisions of Work Instructions (WIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to QMS elements.
- Schedule and support quality assurance audits and inspections.
- Document site quality audits including nonconformity reports and action plans.
- Analyze audit findings to identify trends and enhance process efficiencies.
- Provide support for external quality audits.
- Safety Program:
- Coordinate and implement the Occupational Safety and Health Program aligned with site-level requirements.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as OSHA and EPA.
- Identify and mitigate workplace hazards effectively.
- Organize and deliver essential safety training programs for employees.
- Advise management on safety assessments, compliance, and proactive safety initiatives.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action planning.
- Conduct routine workplace inspections and maintain necessary records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in managing quality or safety programs.
- Familiarity with QMS standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and OSHA regulations.
- Proven track record in audit processes and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Able to work for long periods independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Secret Clearance is required.
