Akkodis is seeking a Senior Engineer for a contract with a client in Hartford, CT. The role involves designing reusable Terraform modules for GKE provisioning and automating cluster lifecycle management while enforcing IaC best practices and CI/CD integration. Rate Range: $53/hour to 68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Senior Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable Terraform modules for provisioning and managing GKE clusters and related infrastructure components.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management of GKE clusters, node pools, networking, and storage using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and enforce IaC best practices, including version control, peer code reviews, and automated testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure system security, scalability, and compliance through robust cloud architecture and Kubernetes governance.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for GKE architecture, usage guidelines, and lifecycle processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on GKE and Terraform.
- Proven expertise in designing and maintaining reusable Terraform modules for GKE provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and implementing CI/CD pipelines aligned with Infrastructure as Code best practices.
