Join our dedicated team as a SelectKids Specialist , where you'll play a vital role in supporting one of our most vulnerable member populations-children in state custody. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a difference every day by working closely with foster families, DCS staff, and healthcare providers to ensure timely, compassionate, and effective care.

We're seeking candidates with a strong background in customer service, particularly those experienced in working with vulnerable populations. Ideal applicants will demonstrate a high level of empathy and have hands-on experience with Agent Workspace and Facets systems.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Specialized Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for foster parents and DCS staff, providing expert guidance and support to ensure members receive the right care at the right time and place.
  • Immediate Eligibility Coordination: Facilitate prompt eligibility for children newly placed in state custody, ensuring seamless access to healthcare services without delay.
  • Population Health Integration: Assess and triage member needs, connecting them swiftly to appropriate resources within our Population Health Team to support their overall well-being.

The hours for this position are: 8:00am-4:30 pm EST and 9:30am-6:00pm EST. These shifts rotate so that you will be assigned to each one approximately every two weeks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand and retain related guidelines and procedures and be aware of physical and behavioral trauma triggers and act to engage appropriate population health staff
  • Navigate through multiple systems and understand the associations of various sections of all systems as related to eligibility, PCP assignments and emails timely and accurately, including knowledge of Claims, Member and Provider profiles
  • Research and problem solve requests/issues via call, email or fax and multi-task
  • Ability to attend outreach events as needed.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • 1 year - Customer service experience required.

Skills\Certifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proven decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
