The Therapeutic Recreation Assistant assists in planning, organizing and implementing daily activity programs which include individual, group and independent programs based on resident need, interest and individual capabilities. Core Job Responsibilities Assists with the development of the monthly activity calendar of events. Posts calendar weekly and monthly in areas accessible to residents, staff and volunteers. Assists in informing residents of special events. Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of a resident and/or an unusual incident upon occurrence to supervisor and nursing staff. Actively participates in the organization, instruction, supervision and setup/cleanup of scheduled activities. Transports residents to and from activities and programs. Assists with the preparation of musical programs for residents as requested by supervisor.
